Matt Groening has informed the press that his character Ned Flanders (on the right of the photo) is in fact based upon Dormansland's very own Peter Grant. He said: "Having met Peter, and his family, on a church camp once in Louisiana, I just had to put him in the Simpsons. He is just so lovely, I reckon you could slap his bum, and he would indeed turn the other cheek." |
Dick Hills in Neighbours
Ever wondered how our esteemed chairman keeps his entire body so tanned (except for his unmentionables!)? Or perhaps you wondered how his hair is so lovely and shimmering and white like Gandalf from that Lord of the Rings? There is an answer! When he's not filming Neighbours, the popular Australian soap opera, he is out on the beach, leaving his skin lovely and brown like a roast turkey. And as for his hair - well your hair would be that white if you'd have umpired when Ben's playing!

Vole Protects his Hole
Dods, aka "THE VOLE" , (right) was seen yesterday protecting his hole from an intruder (possibly Dick Hills) who was attempting to find a 2 pence piece he smelt whilst on a sun lounger at his holdiay home in Tuscany. The Intruder claimed that his forefathers had once owned the burrow and that they had stowed amid the settee to save as the interest rates at the time were not desireable.

Council Tows Away The Henley Home
After a traumatic year, the Henley family suffered a severe blow, after an anonymous caller reported the illegally parked caravan. Rumour has it that Dick Hill called the council and demanded a reward, which has been put to good use on the Hill's family Indoor Heated Swimming Pool (below). (all of the above is false!) |
